The public response to the challenge has been amazing. From Corbridge to Canada, bunting flags have been arriving from all over the world. We now have over 2,500 submissions, smashing the 1900 target. Flags have been knitted, crocheted and stitched and are an array of colours. A recently uncovered artefact at Vindolanda sheds a new light on the Dark Ages of Britain.
