Tender Opportunity: Magna Project Evaluation

Organisation: Vindolanda Trust
Location: Northumberland, UK
Contract Value: £17,500–£20,000 (excl. VAT)
Deadline: 11 June 2026


Description

The Vindolanda Trust invites tenders for the independent evaluation of the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) funded Magna Project (2023–2027).

The commission will assess the project’s outcomes, impact, and legacy, covering heritage, community engagement, skills development, and sustainability.


Scope

The evaluator will deliver:

  • A comprehensive NLHF-compliant evaluation report
  • A summary of archaeological and research outcomes
  • A forward plan for post-2027 sustainability and legacy

The role includes analysis of existing quantitative and qualitative data, with limited additional research as required.


Requirements

Bidders should demonstrate:

  • Experience in NLHF or heritage project evaluation
  • Strong mixed-method evaluation expertise
  • Ability to produce clear, accessible reports with strong visual presentation

Timetable

  • Deadline: 11 June 2026
  • Interviews: Early July 2026
  • Appointment: End July 2026
  • Final report: December 2027

  • Quality (80%)
  • Price (20%)
