Become a Friend

Did you know the Vindolanda Trust is a permanent research centre and the only one of its kind in Britain?

To help finance our excavations and share the knowledge we uncover, we have created a friendship scheme that brings you even closer to our work and supports our year round activities and research at both sites; Roman Vindolanda Fort & Museum and the Roman Army Museum & Magna Fort.
-
Being a Friend of Vindolanda also has the following benefits:
  1. Unlimited visits to both Roman Vindolanda and the Roman Army Museum.
  2. 10% discount on all shop purchases in our museum shops, excluding alcohol.
  3. An invitation to our annual Friends of Vindolanda only event.
  4. An e-copy of our annual Friends report (issued in December)

SAVE THE DATE: Friends Day 2026 will be on 11th September.

Supporting us by becoming a Friend helps us to continue to research and preserve our work as part of the Hadrian's Wall World Heritage Site for generations to come. As a Friend of the Trust you will always be especially welcome.
