At Roman Vindolanda, we not only offer groups access to some of the best-preserved Roman remains on Hadrian’s Wall but groups can come and see archaeology in action (Mon-Fri, April to September, weather permitting). We offer groups of 15 a discounted Group rate. Your group will also get to see some of the finest Roman artefacts in Britain including a selection of the world famous ink on wood writing tablets.

Solar powered listening posts

Have four multi-lingual solar powered listening posts on the Vindolanda site. Each post will talk to you about some of the key features of the site in English, French, German, Italian, Dutch and Spanish. These wooden posts are a wonderful addition to our on-site interpretation.
Independent Tour Providers

If you or your group are looking for a personal guided tour of our Vindolanda site please see here for a list of local guides who are able to provide you with this service independently from the Vindolanda Trust.
