Learn School Visits Educational Resources At Roman Vindolanda and the Roman Army Museum, we aim to offer fun and exciting as well as educational sites to visit. We have prepared three curriculum based themed packs for you and your students to get the most from your day. Not only will your class learn about the Romans, but they will be able to address and devise historically valid questions about change, cause, and significance. They will be able to ask historically valid questions by looking at different aspects of the site and museums. They will explore a range of sources to gain knowledge of how the past is constructed and identify ways in which it is presented by gathering information from a variety of primary and secondary sources. The students will also work in supportive groups and cooperate to complete a task. They can demonstrate an ability to take responsibility for their learning process and they will work to develop empathy by looking at history from different angles. Finally, they will gain confidence by exploring an archaeological site and museums.
